No dolby vision, just basic hdr10. And yeah, the HDR is kinda meh, doesn’t get bright enough to really make a difference.

65" onn. 4K UHD HDR10 Roku Smart TV: Should You Buy It?

Highlights and Advantages

  • Stunning 4K Ultra HD resolution for crisp, detailed images.
  • Built-in Roku smart platform with a vast library of streaming apps.
  • HDR10 support for enhanced contrast and color accuracy.

Similars

  • TCL 6-Series: Generally offers better picture quality with local dimming for improved contrast.
  • Hisense U8H: Often features a higher refresh rate for smoother motion in fast-paced content.
  • Samsung Q60B: Typically boasts more advanced features like a more sophisticated smart platform and potentially better upscaling.

What You Need to Know Before Buying

Before purchasing a 65" TV, consider the following technical aspects:

  • Space: Measure the available space in your room to ensure the 65" screen fits comfortably. Account for stand dimensions if using one.
  • Wall Mount Compatibility (if applicable): If wall mounting, check the TV's VESA mounting pattern and ensure your wall mount is compatible.
  • Connections: Identify your input needs (HDMI, USB, etc.) and check the TV's available ports.
  • Sound: Consider the sound quality; many TVs have relatively weak built-in speakers. You might need a soundbar or home theater system for a better audio experience.

Extra Tips

  1. Read Reviews: Check various online reviews from reputable sources before making a purchase to get a better sense of user experiences.
  2. Consider Brightness: Evaluate the room's ambient lighting; a brighter room might require a TV with higher peak brightness.
  3. Input Lag: If gaming is a primary use, check the input lag specifications. Lower input lag translates to a more responsive gaming experience.
  4. Warranty: Understand the warranty offered and what it covers.
  5. Return Policy: Be aware of the store's return policy in case you are unsatisfied with the purchase.
